Youth Club Summer Program for 28th July to 20th August 2014 – a selection of trips and activities at the centre.
Please note our centres are closed during the August Bank Holiday week 25th – 29th August. Youth Club will resume on Wednesday 3rd September 2014.
Youth Club Sessions
A relaxed chilled out session, for you to mix and hang with your friends, try new things learn and have fun. Boasting a selection of new equipment (including games consoles), a variety of things will feature including, cooking, crafts and sports, offering activities that are challenging, and fun. Also new to this programme are monthly taster sessions chosen by the young people in a variety of subjects (i.e. graphic/ street art, jewellery making or mechanics).
West Connects aims to bring you activities and advice sessions run in partnership with other local groups and businesses such as Croydon community bus and the demo pod.
This is a brand new dance & drama group for the Peppermint Youth Club. Get involved with putting on 2 productions a year. With sessions on set design, costumes, music, lighting and many more come along to write, produce or perform at our next show. This will build on the activities in our recent Film Making Taster scheme (March 2013) with sessions from the Just Performers Team
Out and About
Want to get out more? Come along to our out and about sessions that will take you to a variety of places. Included in these sessions are trips to local facilities like the football pitch at Canterbury Children’s Centre, the skate park in Waddon Marsh and Tenpin Bowling Alley This session features some taster activities which cannot travel to us, i.e. abseiling, paintball or swimming.
Help choose and complete a community project to benefit local residents and young people. This new youth led community action group offers hands on volunteering with an aspirational aim focusing on local community projects. Seeing the project through from start to finish, you will gain valuable hands on experience and skills whilst being supported by the local business community.
